Course Descriptions

Hyphenated classes (for example "1-2") are suitable for mixed levels of experience.

Inform your instructor if you are pregnant or have injuries or conditions that could affect your practice.

If you are going to be visiting the Yoga Center for the first time as a student PLEASE arrive 10 minutes early to your first class so that the instructor can meet you and know of any special concerns.

Levels:

Level 1 (with Lotus) – Focus on fundamentals of breath, postures and alignment; beginners and on-going students

Level 1/2 or All Levels – Advancing Beginners to Intermediate; teacher will offer modifications for mixed levels

Level 2 – Intermediate practice level, more challenging postures and pace requiring yoga experience

Iyengar Yoga

Classes with no vinyasa flow and judicious use of props to allow students to get into better alignment in yoga postures. Iyengar alignments and sequencing are taught.

Yoga for Kids, 3-6 yrs

Summer program – one hr. yoga class (2:15 – 3:15) followed by (to 4:15) play time, games, snacks and art in the park.  $50 per month OR 4 sessions; starts Thursday June 10. Drop ins for classes only always welcome!
Yoga for Kids 8-12+ yrs with

Yoga for Beginners
